Bomachoge Borabu MP. Obadiah Barongo.

Parents from Kenyoro PAG Primary School have been lauded for uniting to revive the old academic glory of the institution.

Speaking at the school when he received food donations from the local community, former NG-CDF Treasurer in Bomachoge Borabu, Benson Nyaundi said that the food donation was an attempt to increase enrollment at the school.

“The school population had started to decrease so we decided to find ways of reversing the trend,” he said.

The parents donated 50 sacks of maize, rice, bananas and milk which they said would feed pupils for the whole of this term.

Nyaundi appealed to parents who had withdrawn their children from the school because of poor facilities to return them.

He also called on alumni to visit the school and contribute to its revival.

Former Kenyenya location Senior Chief Nathan Nyokang’i narrated how the school used to excel in the national examinations attributing it to teamwork from parents, teachers and pupils.

“Time has come when all of us have to pull together instead of blaming teachers over poor performance in our schools,” he said

The parents revealed that they had approached area MP Obadiah Barongo for aid from the NG-CDF kitty to improve the school infrastructure and the response had been positive so far.

They asked the Headteacher to ensure good use of the donations and assured him and his staff of continued support until the school regained its past excellence.
