Parents have been urged to teach and train their children correct ways of disposing their used sanitary pads.
“Why would one leave and dispose off their used pads anyhow. Some even thrown them outside somebody’s house,” said Mulekye Maluki, a resident of Wote.
She said school girls should observe hygiene as a matter of priority.
She called upon the government to continue providing the sanitary towels to girls saying it has helped a lot in retaining girls in school.
