Safaricom Foundation has donated 68 beds to Olkejuado High School in Kajiado County after devastating electrical fire that burnt down the school’s dormitory.
The 2021 inferno left 80 students stranded after their beddings and personal effects were burnt to ashes. The fire had posed a significant setback to students’ learning environment and safety.
The Foundation’s quick intervention will help restore normalcy and dignity for the affected students, ensuring they continue learning in safe and comfortable conditions.
The support of the boy’s school comes as the Foundation celebrates 15 years of impact, marked by strategic philanthropy in education, health, economic empowerment, and disaster response across Kenya.
