Nyanza regional Director of Education Nelson Sifuna has been moved to the ministry headquarters where he will be in charge of field coordination and field services.
Sifuna has been replaced by Lawrence Karuntimi who was the Deputy Director in charge of secondary education.
Confirming his promotion, Sifuna said he will be assuming his new role on Monday next week.
Before his role as the regional director, Sifuna was the County Director of Siaya before being elevated.
He takes over at headquarters from Weru Machocho who joined the diplomatic ranks.
Speaking to Education News on phone, Sifuna thanked sector stakeholders in Nyanza region for the support accorded to him during his time there.
