The Member of Parliament (MP) of Kitutu Masaba in Nyamira County Clive Ombane Gisairo, has called upon parents and teachers to prioritize sanitation for students, emphasizing that it plays a crucial role in enabling effective learning in schools.
Speaking during the launch of a modern toilet facility equipped with a sufficient water tank at Nyasimu Primary School in his constituency, Gisairo said that a clean environment is fundamental in shaping the minds of our children, ultimately influencing their future.
He further asserted that children raised in hygienic and tidy surroundings develop into responsible and conscientious citizens.

“Children who grow up in a clean environment are more likely to become responsible adults,” Gisairo remarked.
He also urged parents to nurture strong family bonds by demonstrating love and care within their households, underlining the importance of a foundation built on love, peace, and unity.
The MP further encouraged parents to provide nutritious meals for their children during their formative years to prevent malnutrition, which can hinder educational development.
He emphasized that this project marks the beginning of a comprehensive program initiated by his development team to enhance sanitation services throughout the entire constituency.
The MP intended to protect students from the threats of bacterial diseases, which often thrive in unsanitary conditions.
Additionally, he urged teachers to educate pupils about the importance of handwashing before and after visiting the restroom to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases.
