One family in Nyamira County is living in fear and distress after their grade 8 daughter went missing from home for two weeks during the school holiday.
According to her mother Magaret Atuya, the grade 8 pupil at Nyageita Primary School reported home from school on October 15 and left for a leisure evening walk in the evening but never returned home.
“We have looked for her at all our relatives’ homes but she is not there. We are much worried as a family.” She said.
She explained that on the day her daughter left home, dressed in a grey hoody, white long trouser with black stripes and blue blouse.

She has asked anybody who might have information about the whereabouts of her daughter call her or even report the matter to any nearby police station for her location.
The concerned parents’ report about the missing of her daughter comes barely a day after Nyamira County Commissioner Erastus Mbui decried high rate of crime in the region including child kidnapping, robbery, electrical wires vandalism and murder of innocent people.
