Nyabururu Boys, Got regea are new Nyanza Rugby 7s champions

 

 

St. Joseph’s Nyabururu Boys from Kisii County and Got Regea Girls of Siaya County are the Nyanza Rugby7s Champions.

They are set to represent the Region in the National Sports competitions to be held at Shanzu Teachers Training College in Mombasa.

In the preliminaries during the competitions for boys held at Cardinal Otunga Mosocho High School, St.Joseph’s Nyabururu played against Sagamore from Siaya at 10- 7 while Rai Kanyaika of Kisumu played at 33- 14 with Toku from Migori County.

In the gitls category Rianyanchabera from Kisii beat Assar Johnson from Migori at 15- 10 as Got Regea from Siaya kicked out Nyabuya of Nyamira at 22- 7.

In the finals,St Joseph ‘s Nyaburu boys beat Rai Kanyaika at near range of 8- 5 to be crowned the ovetsl Champions in the boys’ category as Got Regea washed Rianchabera at 20- 00 to be crowned winners.

The winning teams are scheduled to start the competitions from 5- 9 of April at the Coast.
