Due to what the host Garissa Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Associations KESSHA chair Mohamud Dubat called logistics highlights, the Northeastern (KESSHA) Chapter failed to kick off from 2nd to 5th June as per the nationwide programme.

Though it was highly published in the KESSHA Principals calendar of Events 2021 calendar, that the  conference’s secondary head teachers  delegates from Mandera, Garissa and Wajir would assembly at Nomad Palace from 2nd to 5th June in Garissa town that wasn’t to be.

Interestingly, by 3rd June KESSHA headquartered at Nairobi’s Mama Ngina Street was assuring that the delayed conference would kick off on 4th June at Nomad Palace.

However, a visit to the famous hotel,  on 4th June  drew blanks in what looked like a wild goose chase.  Neither the security nor the management knew the existence of that conference at the venue.

Talking to Education News on phone Mohamud Dubat   said the counties of Mandera, Garissa and Wajir secondary school heads were not be able meet from 2ND to 5th June at Nomad Palace in Garissa town due to logistics.

According to the calendar the regional  principal’s conference began from  April in various parts of the county  and  Mandera , Wajir and Garissa, Tharaka Nithi  conferences  was to close  regional conferencing on 2nd to 5th June .

It appears there is a no set date for the postponed meeting. As Ahmed Bule head teacher Shurie Boys said the conference would be held before form one selection, but KESSHA chairman Mohamed said the conference would be after schools open.

Although , Homa Bay , Migori ,  Nyamira, Siaya and Nairobi  did not indicate their respective  regional conference dates  the national conference is to be held from 19th -23rd July  and African confederation of pricipals conference to be held in Abuja Nigeria  will be held from 16th -20th August .
