Ngararia Girls has announced that it will host the Murang’a County Music Festivals scheduled to take place from June 15 to 20, 2026.
The event is expected to bring together students from across the county for performances in music, dance and cultural expression.
According to a notice issued to parents and guardians, the school confirmed that all its facilities will be fully dedicated to supporting the smooth running of the festival during the five-day period.
The institution noted that preparations are already underway to accommodate the large number of participants and visiting schools.
Early Midterm Break Announced
As a result of the hosting arrangements, the school has adjusted its academic calendar and announced an early midterm break on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 6:00 a.m.
Students are expected to proceed home immediately after their release.
In the communication, the school administration expressed appreciation for the discipline and calmness demonstrated by learners amid what it described as the current wave of unrest affecting some schools.
The administration noted that student conduct at the institution has remained stable and commendable.
Platform for Talent Development
The Murang’a County Music Festivals form part of the national school co-curricular calendar and are expected to provide a platform for talent development, cultural exchange and artistic excellence among learners.
