The Nyeri Good Shepherd Academy community is mourning Grade Eight learner Angel Gitonga, whose death has left fellow students, teachers and the school administration in deep sorrow.
Angel died shortly before she was expected to take part in the Festival of Arts, an event she had been eagerly looking forward to.
The school had been preparing to showcase learners' talents at the festival, and the celebrations were overshadowed by her loss.
The school community remembers her as a bright and beloved learner. The administration, teachers and students have sent their condolences to her family, friends and classmates as they come to terms with her death.
