Intern teachers have asked the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to urgently address the reported failure to remit their monthly Social Health Authority (SHA) premiums.
The teachers want the commission to explain the delay and ensure it remits their health insurance contributions as required.
They said the failure to remit the premiums could affect their access to medical services, and urged the relevant authorities to intervene and resolve the matter without further delay.

The interns asked TSC to determine the extent of the problem, clear any outstanding premiums, and ensure future contributions are remitted promptly so they can access healthcare services.

They also called for accountability and better management of their welfare benefits.
The appeal comes as intern teachers continue to seek better working conditions and protection of their employment benefits.
