Matulo Girls High School in Webuye has received Judith Wamocho as its new Principal, following the transfer of Florence Ludenyo to a school in Vihiga County.
Wamocho’s transfer marks the beginning of a new chapter for the institution, as she brings with her a wealth of experience in academics and co-curricular activities.
Speaking during her unveiling ceremony, Wamocho expressed her enthusiasm for the new role and pledged to uphold the school’s tradition of excellence while introducing new strategies to further improve performance.
“I am honoured to join Matulo Girls High School, an institution known for its commitment to academic achievement and holistic education. I look forward to working with the students, staff, and the entire community to build on this legacy,” she said.

She has an impressive track record in education, having served in various schools where she mentored numerous students who excelled under her guidance.
Her focus on both academic and co-curricular development has earned her recognition as a transformative leader in the education sector.

Parents, students, and teachers expressed optimism about her leadership, highlighting her ability to inspire and nurture students’ potential.
“We are confident that Wamocho will take Matulo Girls to greater heights. Her reputation for excellence precedes her,” said a member of the school’s Board of Management.
As the school transitions to new leadership, Wamocho’s tenure is expected to build on the foundation laid by her predecessor, Ludenyo, whose contributions to the school have been widely appreciated.
