Tomorrow, October 17th 2020, all roads for teachers and teacher unions will lead to Narok for the burial of Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Narok Branch Executive Secretary Paul Lepore.
Hundreds of KNUT national branch officials besides teachers are expected to attend the ceremony.
Lepore, 48, died on October 6th 2020 after suffering a short illness. He was serving his fifth year after his election in 2016.
He will be remembered for fighting for teachers’ rights in the county. By the time of his demise, Lepore is said to have been eyeing a political seat.
Survived by his wife and five children, Lepore started feeling unwell and was admitted at the Narok Referral Hospital and be discharged a week later.
His health, however, deteriorated and while being returned to the facility, he was pronounced dead on arrival and his body was taken to Nakuru mortuary.
