Namelok Girls students in Kajiado go on strike in fight for more teachers.

Learning at Namelok Girls Secondary School in Kajiado County has been paralysed after students went on strike yesterday night.

The students were protesting against failure by Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to employ more teachers at the school for smooth learning

According to a parent who sought anonymity the school has no single Agriculture teacher for one year now.

The students also claim that the school has hired a Form 4 leavers for other subjects.

Also, the students protested drinking tea without sugar.

There is also a lack of water since January 6 when school reopened for Term One.

Some schools across the country are faced with shortage of teachers as Competence Based Curriculum continues to take shape.
