Mumias West Sub-county has officially been selected to host the 2026 Kakamega County Secondary School Games, following consultations and deliberations by officials of the Kakamega County Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA).
The highly anticipated championships are scheduled to kick off on June 17, 2026, bringing together top-performing secondary schools from across Kakamega County in a battle for county honours and qualification slots to the regional championships.

The annual games are expected to showcase some of the county’s finest young sporting talents across various disciplines, including football, volleyball, basketball, hockey, netball, and other co-curricular activities.
