The Anglican sponsored school in Mumias Diocese recently converged to preview their 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) performance and also lay new strategies on how to improve on academics and sports in 2026.
Speaking to Education News during the session the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association, (KESSHA) western chapter chairman James Wabuli noted that the schools under sponsorship of Anglican Mumias diocese recorded steady improvement in the last year KCSE exams, registering improvement in both mean score and quality grades.
Wabuli added that with more than 68 schools under the diocese more than a half had recorded tremendous improvement saying that this was as a results of well coordination and intensified bench marking programmes.
Wabuli who is also St Luke Epanja Senior School principal reiterated that this year they have already set the target and have strategies in place to see that they collectively achieve higher grades.

The occasion was graced by Bishop Rev. Dr. Joseph Wandera who urged the school managers to remain steadfast as role model to the young people as they are entrusted with responsibility not only to impart skills and knowledge but also to shape characters and behaviors.
He lauded the school heads for observing academic discipline saying that none of the schools under the diocese was implicated in the exam malpractice.
In attendant was also the diocesan education secretary Azebeda Odongo who thanked the principals and headteachers for their noble duty of shaping the lives of students
