Residents of Bonchari Constituency are up in arms against their MP Dr Charles Onchoke for allegedly using NGCDF money to fund ghost projects.
The concerned residents claimed that the NGCDF committee used Ksh3.8 million on Nyang’iti and Entanke Secondary and Primary schools, but there is nothing to show for it.

Led by Dennis Orioki, the residents claimed that the Auditor General’s report indicated that the foresaid non-existent projects were funded but when one goes to the sites there is no physical infrastructure.
The irate group appealed to the MP and his committee to account for the funds and satisfy the needs of the people of Bonchari who like transparency and accountability.

The group said that there is no school called Entanke in Bonchari Constituency, yet the Auditor General ‘s report showed that construction of classrooms was funded at Ksh800,000.
“We only know of Entanke Technical and Vocational Training Education Institute but the cheque issued from the NGCDF office was not directed to the institution but to a ghost project called Entanke Primary School,” said Evans Mokaya.
The area MP refuted the claims, saying he was not aware of the projects.
“This is the first time I hear that; give me time to find out and I will answer you later,” he said.
Onchoke asked residents not to believe unjustified allegations on social media, promising better service delivery to constituents.
