Mwala Member of Parliament Vincent Musau, popularly known as Kawaya, has unveiled plans to construct a Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) campus in Masii Ward.

While addressing locals in Masii, the legislator expressed confidence that the project will spur economic growth in the area, particularly in the business sector.

“The presence of a college means more people coming to town, our goods will have more buyers, and boda bodas will have more passengers. That’s how towns grow,” Kawaya said.

He cautioned locals against engaging in divisive debates over the institution’s location, urging unity and support for the initiative.

“I made a personal and conscious decision to establish the campus in Masii. I’m aware there has been talk about it being built in Mwala Ward instead, but this decision was made in the best interest of development,” he stated.

Kawaya added that he is awaiting the next budget cycle to allocate adequate funds for the construction of the facility.

The MP also called on the Machakos County Government to collaborate with him to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
