MMUST is set to host the 2026 Innovation Emporium, bringing together innovators, researchers and industry players to drive cutting-edge solutions.

a major event aimed at highlighting groundbreaking innovations, strengthening industry linkages, and advancing research-driven solutions.

The event, organised by the university’s Science Park, Innovation and Incubation Centre (SPIIC), will bring together innovators, researchers, students, and industry partners to showcase projects across diverse categories, including hackathon-driven solutions and institutional research milestones. The forum is expected to serve as a key platform for nurturing creativity and accelerating the commercialisation of innovations developed within the institution.

The four-day emporium will attract high-profile guests, including the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Science, Research and Innovation, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Research Fund, and other leading stakeholders from the science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.

According to the organisers, the Innovation Emporium is designed not only to showcase technological advancements but also to foster collaboration between academia and industry, to encourage practical solutions to real-world challenges, and to promote a culture of research commercialisation.

As part of the program, a Mental Wellness Awareness and Engagement Day will be held on 14th April 2026. The session aims to sensitise participants to the importance of mental health in academic and professional environments, while also providing a supportive space for dialogue, awareness-raising, and engagement among students and stakeholders.

The MMUST 2026 Innovation Emporium is expected to position the institution as a regional hub for innovation, research excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration, further strengthening its role in advancing Kenya’s science and technology agenda.
