Minet pledges to continue serving teachers as it marks 75 years in Africa

Minet Kenya Managing Director Sammy Muthui has affirmed the insurance broker’s commitment to offer locally relevant, market-leading, and fit-for-purpose solutions for its Kenyan customers, especially teachers.

Speaking during celebrations to commemorate 75 years in Africa on November 3, 2022, Muthui stated that for years Minet has been offering its clients trusted and composite risk advisory in a vast array of industries and sectors.

He further expounded on the work of the Minet Foundation, which was established to play an active role in improving the lives of the people in the communities in which Minet operates. The Foundation focuses on education, health care, and building sustainable communities and is aimed at making a lasting and measurable impact.

Minet Kenya boasts of setting up and managing the largest medical scheme in Sub-Saharan Africa; the teacher’s medical scheme, taking care of over one million teachers and their dependants for the last seven years and has developed digital assets that support teachers to access self-service through their mobile phones while utilizing the medical insurance.
