Mbooni Girls High School in Makueni County has been temporarily closed after the students complained of stomach-related illnesses suspected to be linked to a diarrhoea outbreak within the school.
According to the reports, the school has asked parents and guardians to collect their daughters as investigations and health assessments continue.
School officials said the decision was made as a precautionary measure to safeguard the health and well-being of all students while medical assessments and sanitation checks continue.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates once the investigations are complete.
