Elsewhere, 1,050 youth who were recruited to Murang’a Youth Service (MYS) will join Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) across the county after they participated in the cleaning of 144 market centres.
Governor Irungu Kang’ata said the first cohort reported on January 22 across 32 VTCs; where they will acquire skills in tiling, painting, hairdressing and beauty, plumbing, welding and electrical wiring.
During the two months they served in the MYS, they were involved in garbage collection, and market cleaning among other chores assigned by their supervisors.
