Maseno School will this weekend play host to the 2026 Amadi Open Tournament, bringing together students, alumni, and sports enthusiasts from across the country.
The two-day tournament, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, will be held at the historic Maseno School grounds, an institution established in 1906 and renowned for its rich academic and sporting heritage.
Over the years, the Amadi Open Tournament has proven to be a vital platform for nurturing, showcasing and exposing learners’ talents in sports. The competition has consistently provided young athletes with an opportunity to test their abilities in a competitive environment while gaining invaluable experience beyond the classroom.
Participating schools are expected to benefit immensely as learners develop competitive experience, teamwork skills, discipline and self-confidence, while also interacting and networking with peers from different institutions.
Organisers have noted that the tournament is not only about winning trophies, but also about identifying and developing young talents who can be nurtured to compete at higher levels in the future.
