The final, played under high stakes, saw both teams exhibit disciplined defending and tactical awareness, limiting clear scoring opportunities. With regulation time unable to produce a breakthrough, the contest went to a penalty shootout that ultimately showcased Maseno’s composure under pressure.
Maseno’s players kept their nerve, slotting four successful penalties, while their goalkeeper made key saves to deny Gendia, securing the title and igniting celebrations among supporters.
The victory signals Maseno School’s growing stature in boys’ football, positioning them as one of the frontrunners to watch in the upcoming KSSSA Kisumu County Soccer Championships next term.
