Makueni MP sponsors 30 students to Wote technical for short courses

Makueni Constituency Member of Parliament, MP Susan Kiamba has announced the sponsorship 30 students to pursue beauty and hairdressing in Wote Technical Training Institute.

The sponsorship including fee and accommodation for 29 girls and one boy who will be doing the short courses for three months

Speaking during the event, the NG-CDF chair Daniel Kavoi called upon the students to translate the skills into real job.

He noted that there are other 70 youths who were earlier sponsored in driving and are set to graduate soon with certificate and license.

“We could not leave our girls behind, having trained the 70 in driving; we are now training our girls on beauty and hairdressing. The 70 are now practicing outside with interim licenses and earning something out of the skills acquired,” Kavoi.

The TTI Principal Joshua Munyoki welcomed the 30 beneficiaries adding that as the institute they will give them the best. He called for discipline reminding them that the over 3000 students already in the school are known for discipline and hard work.
