Machogu to release 2023 KCSE results today

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu will release the results of the 2023 KCSE exams today, January 8, 2024 at Moi Girls Eldoret.

An official from the CS’ office, who sought anonymity, revealed that the results will be released after pressure from many parents who complained about the delay which has led to anxiety among candidates.

The official pointed out that the delay was necessitated by a new grading system unveiled by the Presidential Working Party Task Force on Education.

Parents and candidates who sat the exams will receive the news through the media and the Kenya National Examination Council portal.

The official revealed that the KCSE 2023 report reveals that very few cases of cheating were detected in the examinations compared to the previous year.

“A few cases of cheating were detected and dealt with accordingly; a few centre managers and invigilators of suspected schools were suspended,” he said, revealing further that Nyanza region is likely to top in the 2023 KCSE examinations since most schools, especially from Kisii County, have impressive results.

The news has raised the hopes of stakeholders from Nyambaria National School and Cardinal Otunga Mosocho who scooped positions one and two respectively in KCSE 2022.

Other schools from the Nyanza region likely to perform well include Asumbi Girls, St Paul’s Igonga, Maseno School and Nyabururu Girls owing to their impressive performance in the past years.
