Lugari MP donates 200 desks to Nzoia Girls in Kakamega

Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera has donated 200 desks to be utilised by the students of Nzoia Girls High School in Matete Sub-county, Lugari constituency.

The MP said that the initiative has been a collaborative effort with his network to ensure the school is well-equipped with essential furniture.

“I am pleased to observe the school’s commendable progress, reflecting a rise in the quality of academic performance,” said MP Nabwera.

In his address, he committed to sponsoring a week-long trip to Mombasa in August for the top-performing boy and girl from his Creaming Two programme.

He further noted that exemplary students, along with their Principals, will partake in the enriching experience designed to further academic excellence within Lugari Constituency secondary schools and elevate the achievement of superior grades.

He also underscored the vital role parents play in prioritizing their children’s education, emphasizing that such investments are vital in shaping the future.

“To further incentivize outstanding performance, I declared that the school within the Lugari Constituency that achieves the highest results in this year’s KCSE examinations will be awarded a brand-new Scania school bus, he added.

In his ongoing efforts to improve school infrastructure, he promised to construct a modern kitchen for the school.

At the same time, the lawmaker revealed advanced plans to build an eight-classroom, modern multi-story building at Maturu Primary School in Matete Sub-county.
