Little-known Kuywa Secondary beats odds to post mean score of 7.7

Little-known Kuywa Friends Secondary School has beaten the odds to attain a mean score of 7.7 in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.

The school, which is struggling with inadequate infrastructure and insufficient resources, also managed to send 109 students to university, a number higher than more established schools in Webuye West sub-county.

For the first time, the school registered  6 A minus,13 B plus,15 B plain, 30 B minus and 45 C plus.

School Principal Isaac Musani attributed the sterling results to the good working relationship between the Principal, Board of Management and teachers.

Speaking to Education News, Musani said that his vision is to make the school an academic giant by churning out brilliant, disciplined and God-fearing students.
