Lakipia governor lauds teachers for ensuring students get good grades

Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu has praised teachers of St Mary’s High School Mwenje Boys for ensuring that their students get good grades in last year’s KCSE.

Speaking during the school’s prize giving day recently, the county boss lauded the institution, saying it is among the best in the county as in the last year KCSE 21 students attained university entry grades, also congratulating the school teachers led by the principal, Caesar Njoroge for the impressive performance.

“The 21 students who attained the university entry grades are champions now shining and raising the flag of the school and of Laikipia county high,” said the governor.

He commended the board of governors, and parents in all Laikipia schools for their tirelessly and diligently efforts in supporting the education sector.

“For the learners to achieve excellent results in national exams there is a need to give them a good start in life,” said the Governor.

He further asked for total cooperation among the stakeholders to support the education sector to help transform the county, saying that this will ensure students perform well in exams.
