The Laikipia University Alumni Association has launched an ambitious initiative aimed at supporting the education of school-going children in marginalized areas of Samburu and Turkana counties.
Speaking to Education News, the Association Chairman, George Gikundi, said the programme seeks to expand access to education and enable learners in underserved regions to achieve their academic goals and build better futures.
“We want to give children in marginalized areas an opportunity to access education and fulfill their academic careers, which will be useful in their future lives,” said Gikundi.
As part of the initiative, the association plans to distribute learning materials to schools across the two counties to enhance learning and improve academic outcomes.
