The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) National Secretary for Tertiary Sammy Chelang’a has today been charged at the Chief Magistrate Court in Milimani Nairobi with forgery of union documents.
According to the charges, Chelang’a is said to have forged a letter to the Principal Secretary for National Treasurer Dr. Chris Kiptoo purporting to nominate himself for the position of trustee to the Public Service Superannuation Scheme (PSSS) representing KUPPET, when the union Secretary General Akelo Misori had nominated the National Treasurer Mwethi Njenga for the position.
Chelang’a pleaded not guilty to charges and released on a cash bail of Ksh200,000 or bond of Ksh500,000.
