He however urged them to be keen and report any emergency to the relevant authorities so that necessary action can be taken.
According to him, the ongoing security operation has borne fruit, expressing hope that banditry will soon be completely eradicated.
Chelanga wants the safety of learners and teachers given priority adding that all schools in the county have reopened, following the reduced rainfall in the recent days.
“The safety of children should be given priority. We ask parents to be keen and report any emergency to the relevant authorities for action to be taken. We see that rains in this region have declined and we are happy about this,” said Chelanga.
Mudslides and insecurity have remained a major challenge in the region, with several households affected.
