KUPPET invites newly elected JSS officials to crucial Nairobi meeting tomorrow

The Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has invited all newly elected officials serving in Junior  Secondary Schools (JSS) to attend a crucial meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Nairobi.

In a circular dated, the union’s National Executive Board (NEB) called on the officials to convene at Kasarani Sports View Hotel at 9am

The invitation was addressed to all JSS elected officials through the respective Branch Executive Secretaries.

According to the letter signed by Secretary General Akelo Misori, the meeting aims to engage and orient the newly elected leaders on matters concerning their roles and the union’s expectations.

The agenda for the meeting will be shared at the venue.

KUPPET urges punctuality

KUPPET urged the invited officials to attend and observe punctuality, underscoring the importance of the forum in strengthening representation and coordination within Junior Schools across the country.

The meeting comes at a time when Junior School structures are taking shape under ongoing education reforms, with unions playing a key role in safeguarding teachers’ welfare and professional interests.

The Nairobi session is expected to provide a platform for discussions on emerging issues affecting Junior School teachers and to outline the union’s roadmap in addressing them.
