The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has extended the deadline for applications to the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme for the September 2025 intake to August 28.
The application window was initially scheduled to close on August 22, but will now remain open for one more week. KUCCPS said the extension is meant to give more time to applicants from the 2000 to 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) cohorts to submit their applications.
To encourage more students to apply, the service has reduced the application fee from Ksh1,500 to Ksh500. Applicants are also advised that they can get assistance at Huduma Centres and various TVET institutions before the deadline.

KUCCPS further urged candidates to submit their choices through the student portal at http://student.kuccps.net/. Students can select courses at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) as well as other approved institutions.
The move is expected to boost enrolment in technical and vocational training as the government seeks to expand skills development in different sectors of the economy.
