KUCCPS extends inter-university transfer application to 18th August

The Kenya Universities and College Placement Service (KUCCPS) have extended the deadline for the application of inter-institution transfers in Universities.

Students now have until Friday 18th August 2023 to change or transfer institutions which they may not be satisfied with.

According to a notice released by KUCCPS on Monday, the changes were made due to challenges experienced while making M-Pesa payments through the Paybill option.

“The M-Pesa payment option that we offered is giving us some trouble at the moment. We are hard at work to bring back our payment processing capabilities as soon as possible.

Once the problem has been fixed, we will offer an update on the situation.” KUCCPS previously said in a notice.

Students who wish to apply have been urged to make their applications on the KUCCPS student portal; http://students.kuccps.net.

Applicants will be charged an application-processing fee of Ksh1, 000 per application.

For one to be eligible for transfer, the applicant must have been placed by KUCCPS in the programme they are seeking a transfer from.

In addition, the programme applied for must have been on offer in the year the applicant was placed and candidates for degree programs must achieve the necessary cut-off for their specific placement year.

The applicant can navigate to the Programmes section to view a list of possible programs along with their requirements, and they can investigate courses that are categorized by institution by navigating to the Institutions section.

Initially, the deadline for application was August 15.
