Koderobara crowned Nyanza Region soccer kings

Koderobara High School from Migori County are the new Nyanza Region soccer kings after overcoming hard-fighting Matutu PAG High School of Nyamira County 2:1 in a hotly contested match at Moi Stadium in Kisumu today.

The venue of the match had been changed  from Cardinal Otunga High School in Kisii County after rowdy fans invaded the pitch, injuring some players and officials.

The school will represent Nyanza in the ultimate championship where it will meet other victors from other regions to battle for the national crown.

Other schools who emerged as the winners from the region include St Alfred Alara –Homabay in football girls, Nyabondo Boys in volleyball boys, and Nyakongo (Kisumu) in the girls category.

Rugby 7s Boys saw St Mary’s Yala (Siaya) crowned champions, as Nyakach Girls are ready to represent the region in the girls category.

Onjiko Boys (Kisumu) and Ng’iya Girls will represent in Basketball 3*3.
