Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) officials visited the home of the late Dr Enock Andanje Musambai on Sunday, August 24, 2024, at Manda village, Malava constituency, to console his family.
The delegation was led by Sir Aggrey Murumba Namisi, the 2nd National Vice Chairman of KNUT, hailed the late educationist as a remarkable servant of learning.
“This evening I paid a homage visit to the home of the late Chief Principal Dr Enock Andanje Musambai at Manda village, Malava constituency in Kakamega county,” Namisi said.
He praised Dr Andanje’s legacy in education, noting: “The late Dr. Andanje was a respected and industrious teacher who brought tremendous changes in results in the schools he managed, recently being Bungoma High School.”
Namisi added that Dr. Andanje had shown outstanding commitment to community service.

“As a dedicated servant, he took an early retirement to focus on working for the people of the great Malava constituency, where he was to vie for the MP seat in the by-election slated for November,” he remarked.
Other officials who accompanied him included Mama Emmy Mito (NEC), Bro. Robert Mandillah (Executive Secretary, KNUT Bungoma East), Hon. David Kivishi (MCA, Manda Shivanga Ward), and the Webuye Teachers Welfare team.
Dr. Andanje had collapsed the previous week while attending an empowerment meeting in Malava constituency presided over by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
He was rushed to Kakamega County General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
