The Kisumu National Polytechnic has been indefinitely closed following disruption, demonstration and classes boycotting of classes by trainees since Monday, September 15.
In circular released by the institution today September 19 and signed the Chief Principal Catherine Kelonye, the polytechnic was closed after the interim council held a meeting on Friday September 19 and resolved to close the institution with immediate effect.
The circular further states that unrests were preceded by various allegations against the Management by the Kisumu National Polytechnic Students Association, (KINAPOSA).
The management has however advised all trainees to maintain peace and stay away from the polytechnic premises pending further communication o the dates when classes will resume.
The Polytechnic has also assured of quick redress to all concerns raised to allow resumption of learning and operations.
