Felix Omondi is held aloft by celebrating friends and family. He scored 426 marks.

KCPE results celebrations continue as stunned Felix Omondi of Rae Kanyaika Primary School in Kisumu, who scored 426 marks, basks in the glory of emerging one of the finest in the country.

Still baffled by the outcome, Omondi expresses his joy at the good results as he attributes his success to the Almighty God, motivating parents, supportive teachers and helpful fellow classmates for the great achievement.

The top student says it has not been easy, noting that he spent much of his time on books.

His head teacher Paul Odhiambo says Omondi is a very disciplined and hardworking student.

“Even the last exams we did before KCPE, he had 441 marks,” he says.

The head teacher encourages the community around the school should give them all the necessary support to continue excelling in exams and sporting activities.
