South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, through his Osoro Care Club, has fully sponsored 250 students who sat for KCPE examinations last year to join secondary school.

Osoro vowed that no bright student lacking school fees will stay at home due to lack of school fees, adding that his office has sponsored 1,005 students since last year when he launched the foundation.

“We know the unfathomable value of education, that is why we sought help from some of our friends to top up our personal donations to assist our children in acquiring education,” he said.

The MP was speaking at Nyamarambe Stadium where he officially flagged off the students.

He disclosed that about 80 percent of the beneficiaries are from poor backgrounds but had attained 350 marks and above in the national examinations.

Osoro asked the beneficiaries to work hard in their respective schools to appreciate the gesture and improve their lives and that of their families.

He further asked all leaders from the region to put aside their political differences and direct their efforts towards developing the area.
