Kitutu Masaba National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) office has announced the issuance of bursaries to Grade 10 learners joining senior schools within the area.
According to the office, a portion of money from the Education Bursary Kitty has been preserved for the Grade 10 applicants after the completion of admission in their respective schools.
Area MP Clive Ombane lauded his NG-CDF Committee for working quickly and diligently to process the application forms for University students to enable their parents top up the fees they will pay for their children.
The MP said that there were many applicants as compared to the amount of funds available but asked them to appreciate any amount that will be allocated to them.
He said that 6992 learners will benefit from part of the Ksh33,265 to cater for their fees.

“We decided to sort out these ones with the available money as section of the amount wait for those in Grade 10 to complete enrolling, thereafter disclose the list of successful applicants.” He said.
The MP said that each of the applicants from University will get Ksh5000 while those in middle level colleges will get Ksh4000.
He asked parents with children in Grade 10 to visit 21 centres spread across to collect Education Bursary Forms their children starting January 19.
Concerning those in University and Middle Level Colleges, he asked them to check on the receipt of the money with their respective institutions as his office will send the cheques direct to the institutions.
The legislator further asked those who will benefit from the money to use it prudently by working hard in school to post desirable marks that will enable qualify for better life in the future.
The MP reiterated his commitment to the development of the constituency citing the construction of more than 10 Chiefs Camp offices, improved roads and supporting students to join Technical Training Institutes in the area.
