Kibwezi youth epitomizes determination and ambition

Stephen Kamula Mutuku

Stephen Kamula Mutuku, born in 1996 in Mwanyani Masongaleni, Kibwezi Sub-County, embodies the spirit of determination and ambition.

The son of Daniel Mutuku and Nancy Kanini Mutuku, he commenced his educational journey at Mwanyani Primary School, progressing through class 1-8.

Subsequently, he pursued his secondary education at Kianguli Secondary School, completing form 1-4.

Post-secondary, Mutuku ventured into diverse fields, attending a driving school in Mombasa and later enrolling in a Bookkeeping course, where he excelled.

As the eldest in a family of 5, Mutuku recognized the weight of responsibility on his shoulders, given his parents’ occupation as peasant farmers.

Undeterred, he furthered his education by joining the National Youth Service (NYS) and undergoing training at KVDA in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

In 2020, after a rigorous 7-month programme, he graduated with a Diploma certificate.

Swiftly securing a position as a security officer at Pearl Palace Hotel, Mutuku acknowledges the management for providing him an opportunity to apply his extensive knowledge.

He encourages fellow young individuals to pursue education, emphasizing that education opens limitless horizons in the sky.
