Kerugoya learners awarded certificate for Pan African Aviation mentorship

Kerugoya municipality schools director Solomon Munene receives a certificate from Pan African Aviation Gateway representative Anthony Mutisya.

Kerugoya municipality has been awarded a certificate, allowing 100 learners from its schools to partake in a mentorship program facilitated by Pan African Aviation Gateway.

These students, who are members of an aviation club, have entered into an agreement to pursue aviation courses under the mentorship of Pan African Aviation Gateway, focusing primarily on STEM courses.

Representing the program, Anthony Mutisya highlighted that the agreement aims to expose young learners to new skills, aligning with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

The initiative seeks to broaden students’ horizons and enhance their skill sets in line with the evolving demands of the modern world.

Learners from Kerugoya municipality schools during the signing up of their school that will benefit from aviation courses being offered by the Pan African Aviation Gateway.

Municipality director Solomon Munene expressed enthusiasm for this opportunity, emphasizing its significance in fulfilling the dreams of aspiring pilots within the community.

He emphasized the transformative impact of the CBC, foreseeing that many learners would realize their ambitions of becoming pilots through exposure to practical skills and knowledge.

“The aviation club that has been formed will attract more learners who are curious to know how to operate a plane, and we will welcome them,”Munene stated.

Mutisya underscored the importance of cultivating young professionals in the aviation sector, emphasizing their role in passing on knowledge to future generations.

The mentorship program aims to empower learners with practical insights and skills that will contribute to their growth and success in the aviation field.
