Keringet School for the Deaf emerged as the Regional Champion in three categories at the just-concluded Rift Valley Music Festivals, earning a well-deserved place at the upcoming National Music Festival.
Among their standout performances was the Traditional Song category, which drew widespread praise from adjudicators and attendees.
The event which brought together special needs institutions from across the region to showcase their talents in music and performing arts, proved that the participation of special needs schools in the activity is a clear sign of inclusion and adherence to the constitution.

As the school prepares to represent the Rift Valley at the National Music Festival next week, education stakeholders have emphasized the need for sustained investment in programs that uplift Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through education, arts, and cultural expression.
The school community and West Pokot residents have celebrated the achievement, expressing pride in the team’s hard work and determination.
“I warmly congratulate the talented learners, dedicated trainers, and the school’s leadership for this outstanding achievement,” Andrew Lodokang said while visiting the institution.
