The Kenya School of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (KSTVET) has directed students from two departments in its September 2025 intake to vacate the Nairobi Main Campus and report to the newly established Moiben Campus in Uasin Gishu County by May 11, 2026.

The affected students are from the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Studies and the Department of Health and Applied Sciences, including those enrolled in the nutrition and dietetics class under the 2025HMND-SEPT cohort.

In a circular dated April 3, 2026 and signed by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Edwin Tarno, the institution said the students, currently undertaking Module II through online learning, will proceed to complete Module III at the Moiben Campus effective May 2026.

KSTVET cited increased student population at its Nairobi campus and a directive from the State Department for TVET on the operationalisation of Moiben Campus as the basis for the decision, linking the move to the government’s broader expansion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across the country.

The relocation is anchored in Legal Notice No. 123 of 2022, which established KSTVET and provided for the setting up of regional campuses.

The Moiben Campus is located in Uasin Gishu County along the Eldoret–Moiben Road, approximately 30 kilometres from Eldoret Town, on the slopes of the Sergoit Hills.

Students have been advised to make the necessary preparations ahead of the May 11 reporting date. The institution said it would communicate any changes to the arrangement accordingly.
