Kenya Comprehensive Schools Headteachers Association Nyanza conference set for next week in Homa Bay County

The Kenya Comprehensive Schools Headteachers Association (KECSHA) Nyanza Region has announced the upcoming Nyanza Regional Conference, scheduled for 13 to 15 April 2026 at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay County.

The conference is expected to attract over 4,000 heads of institutions from Siaya, Migori, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Kisii, and Nyamira counties, offering a valuable platform for engagement, collaboration, and professional growth among education stakeholders.

This year’s theme is “Shaping the Comprehensive School of the Future: Strengthening Systems, Skills, and Values.” The theme highlights the ongoing transformation in the education sector, especially with the implementation of the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework.

It underscores the importance of strengthening institutional systems, enhancing educators’ professional competencies, and reinforcing the core values necessary to support holistic learner development.

KECSHA  Nyanza Regional Chairman Elly Ondiek emphasised that the conference would be instrumental in enriching discussions, providing policy direction, and fostering stronger collaboration between school leadership and the Ministry offices.

KECSHA Nyanza Region invites all stakeholders to attend and participate in this significant event, which aims to advance quality education in the region.
