KECSHA mourns teachers killed in tragic Nairobi road accident

The Kenya Comprehensive Schools Headteachers Association (KECSHA) has condoled with the families of the teachers who died  following a tragic road accident along Murang’a Road in Nairobi.

In a condolence message dated February 1, 2026, signed by the association’s national chairman,  Faud Abdalla, KECSHA conveyed its solidarity with the bereaved families, affected institutions, and the wider teaching fraternity.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, headteachers of the affected institutions, colleagues, and friends of the teachers who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident,” the circular stated.

KECSHA also offered prayers for the injured, wishing them a full and speedy recovery. The association emphasized its unity with KUPPET and the education community as they come to terms with the loss.

According to the circular, KECSHA acknowledged the emotional toll of the tragedy and urged strength and comfort for those grieving. “We stand with you in grief and pray that the Almighty God grants you comfort, peace, and strength during this very difficult time,” the statement read. KECSHA called for healing and solace for all affected and prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls.
