KCPE results to be announced before Christmas, PS Kipsang’

Basic Education PS, Dr. Belio Kipsang

Education Principal Secretary (PS) Belio Kipsang has announced that the results of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations will be released by Christmas.

During a speech in Nairobi marking the conclusion of the KCPE and KPSEA examinations, Dr. Kipsang affirmed that Form one placement process will be done before the Christmas holidays.

The PS said that approximately 2.6 million candidates participated in the examinations, assuring the availability of resources to expedite the marking process.

He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to achieving a 100 percent transition to secondary school.

“We will ensure that our children are placed in their respective secondary schools,” he stated confidently.

The PS also announced that the school calendar had returned to its usual rhythm, with schools set to reopen on the eighth of January.

He further highlighted a notable reduction in teenage pregnancies, attributing this progress to the support and empowerment provided to parents.

“The education focus now shifts to the upcoming Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations (KCSE), scheduled to commence on Monday,” Dr. Kipsang added.

The government pledged to ensure a smooth administration of the exams, with a particular emphasis on preventing cheating.

He further advised the parents of KCSE candidates in day schools to ensure their children did not bring mobile phones to the examination centres.
