Kangundo Member of Parliament (MP) Fabian Muli has commenced the renovation of six classrooms in Matithini, Kinyungu and Ietune primary schools.

The extensive renovations are aimed at improving the learning environment for students, with the goal of creating a more conducive and well-equipped space as schools prepare to reopen.

During his visit to the two schools on Tuesday, Muli emphasized the importance of investing in education as a pillar of community development.

Speaking at the event, he said that ensuring students have access to safe and supportive learning environments is crucial in fostering academic excellence and nurturing future leaders.

“We are committed to ensuring that when schools resume, the pupils in these primary schools will have a conducive and comfortable learning space. This is part of a broader initiative to uplift education standards across Kangundo,” he said.

The renovation project, which includes structural repairs, painting and equipping classrooms with modern learning materials, is expected to be complete before the start of the new term.
