Songs and dance rent the air in Lake Solai Secondary School after emerging as one of the top-performing schools in Rongai, Nakuru County, in the recently released 2024 KCSE results.
The school Principal, Harry Cheruiyot, attributed the good performance to students’ discipline, hard work, cooperation, and tireless sacrifice from teachers.
“We stand firm to congratulate all our 2024 KCSE candidates for proving that determination, hard work, and discipline yield better results,” said Cheruiyot.

The Principal said since he joined the school as the head in February 2023, he has put adequate measures in place for students to seriously concentrate on education, and through support from teachers, the institution has improved its mean score from 4.12 in 2023 KCSE to 5.4167 in 2024, which is a positive deviation of 1.2951.
He said that the school has managed to increase the number of students who got C+ and above from 12 in 2023 KCSE to 28 in 2024. “We have improved the number of our students who qualify for university entry from 12 students in 2023 KCSE to 28 students in 2024,” said the Principal.
“We greatly appreciate our BoM, led by the Chairperson Adamson Bungei, for supporting the students and teachers; their efforts has contributed to our academic success,” added the Principal.

He also praised parents for supporting and assisting the school in molding students’ characters, which has also enabled them to view education positively.
